Are you a "locavore"?

There are great reasons to eat locally.  The best way to get started eating locally is to frequent your farmers' market. Grab your reusable bags and come on down to see us! You will find
in-season fruits and vegetables from the local farmers, and meet lots of great people. It's a fun way to shop and a great place to pick up your food for the week. You can ask the farmers about the vegetables...if a vegetable is new to you ask the farmer what does it taste like and how to prepare it.

Get your feet wet in the Locavore way of eating by choosing five foods you can commit to eating locally. Like eggs, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, okra, onions, beets, broccoli, melons, herbs and more. Not only will you be glad you did but you'll be hooked on being a "Locavore".
